The Guide Michelin 2011 embraces Tokyo, Yokohama and Kamakura with 14 honored of the three stars macaroons ! More than Paris!
Tokyo capital of world gastronomy in the new Guide Michelin 2011 with her 2 neighbors totalize 14 restaurants with 3 stars, 54 with 2 stars and 198 with 1 star. 75 restaurants in TYK joined the Guide Michelin this year.
The press conference and a great party were held today at Yokohama in Osanbashi, facing the sun illuminated bay with Michelin BiB and hundreds of guests including Mayor Fumiko Hayashi --on the right of the photo--.
The latest edition includes Tokyo and also her neighbor capital of Kanagawa prefecture Yokohama and former Capital of Kanto: Kamakura.
This year of economic hardship includes a new feature, an image of a pile of coins, indicating if a Michelin rated restaurant offers a menu under Yen 5,000 (45 Euro, 60 US Dollars)
Proof that quality does not mean costly!
